TD Emerald Balanced Fund

Investment Strategy
The Fund invests in money market instruments and securities included in the FTSE TMX Canada Universe Bond Index, the S&P/TSX Composite Index, the Standard and Poor's 500 Composite Stock Price Index and the MSCI Europe, Australasia, and Far East (EAFE) Index. The Fund invests primarily in units of our other TD Emerald Pooled Funds, including the TD Emerald Canadian Equity Index Fund, TD Emerald Canadian Bond Index Fund, TD Emerald U.S. Equity Index Fund, TD Emerald International Equity Index Fund and TD Emerald Short Term Investment Fund. The asset mix is adjusted quarterly to reflect the average asset mix of pooled pension funds in Canada. The universe fixed income and equity portions pursue an indexed strategy while the short term fixed income is actively managed.
Investment Objective

The primary objective of the Fund is to earn a reasonable rate of interest, dividend income, as well as moderate capital appreciation. The secondary objective is to provide above-median performance as compared to other balanced pooled funds in Canada.
